Abstract
Tools/Materials Required: Lion oil dipstick (with wire), dry cloth
Usage steps/methods:
① Remove the dipstick from the packaging box.

② Slide the hook at the front of the ruler downward and hang the oil weight on it.

③ Attach the clip at the end of the static‑discharge wire to a grounded metal object.

④ Align the oil weight and the measuring tape into a straight line.

⑤ Turn the crank handle over, holding the dipstick handle with one hand and the crank handle with the other.

⑥ Allow the oil drop to fall freely; since the gravitational force on the oil drop accelerates the descent of the measuring tape, gently relax your grip on the crank.

⑦ Use the crank to regulate the descent speed of the oil weight; when the weight contacts the bottom of the container, grasp the handle with one hand and lift it upward, keeping the measuring tape taut within the solution.

⑧ Read and record the value of the liquid to be measured.

⑨ Since the oil float’s own weight causes the liquid level to rise, after completing the first measurement, use the crank to wind the measuring tape back into the tape holder; once the liquid level has returned to its original position, proceed with the second measurement to determine the amount of rise.

⑩ Observe the change in the liquid level. Once the liquid level has stabilized at a certain position, lower the dipstick again to measure the rise and record the reading. This will allow you to determine the depth of the liquid.

⑪ After taking the reading, gently reel the measuring tape back into the tape measure frame, wipe the tape and the weight with a dry cloth, retract the guide wire, and, once everything is neatly arranged, place it in the packaging box for future use.
