Abstract
In well-depth measurements, tank‑level surveys at gas stations and on vessels, and other liquid‑depth determinations, even minor errors in the measured data can lead to immeasurable losses; therefore, proper use of the dipstick is essential.

Tools/Ingredients
-
Lion oil dipstick
Method/Steps
-
First, select the appropriate dipstick based on your specific needs. The Xiongshi dipstick features a robust construction, with a carbon steel and stainless steel measuring tape that offers clear, easy-to-read graduations and meets national accuracy standards.
Select the appropriate oil weight based on the oil’s viscosity; typically, a 350 g copper oil weight or a 470 g stainless steel oil weight is used. The oil weight is connected to the measuring tape via a universal swivel hook, allowing for free rotation. The handle features an antistatic design and can also be equipped with an antistatic grounding wire.
-
The measuring tape must be held steadily. With one hand gripping the handle and the other turning the crank, insert the tape into the object being measured, allowing it to descend under the weight of the plumb bob. Slowly turn the crank to minimize晃动, and continue until you feel the plumb bob touch the bottom of the object, then withdraw the tape.
-
Readings must be accurate. Your line of sight should be perpendicular to the scale; first read the millimeters, then the centimeters, decimeters, and meters.
-
Clean the measuring tape thoroughly. While rotating the crank, wipe the tape with a dry cloth, then, once retracted, place it in a dry, clean storage box.
